NOTE you are creating online accounts that require a username and password that you must remember!. My advice is to use the same username & password for them all - so you don't forget it! A real email address is also required by these services for authenicating your account!

1. Create a Blog

http://www.wordpress.com

You can then access your Wordpress blog using the Opera Mini online demo (http://www.operamini.com/demo) by using the following URL: http://m.wordpress.com

2. Create an account on Letmeparty.com

http://www.letmeparty.com

Now you can Blog via SMS to your Wordpress blog!

3. Create an account at Google.com

First signup for GMail (http://www.gmail.com) - its free, and your GMail username & password will get you into all of the other Google services as well!

NOTE: You can view your GMail on the Opera Mini Demo by pointing its web browser to http://gmail.com, alternatively you can download the free GMail Java application (http://gmail.com/app) to your phone for more mobile features.

Create a Google Reader account

http://www.google.com/reader/

Add (subscribe) your Blog 'feed' to Google reader:

Now read your feeds on your mobile phone by pointing the Opera Mini Demo browser to the mobile version of google reader: http://www.google.com/reader/m/view/

4. Create an account on Flickr.com

http://www.flickr.com

Now you can upload and view your pictures from your camera phone or the Opera Mini Demo at http://m.flickr.com

NOTE: Opera Mini also features a photoblogging (http://www.operamini.com/features/photoblog/) capability for camera phones - you must setup an account at My Opera (http://my.opera.com/community/) first to create your free Opera Photo Blog, then you can send photos directly from Opera Mini on your camera phone to your Opera Blog.

Mobile Phone Internet settings (Download instructions PDF) (http://ltxserver.unitec.ac.nz/~thom/pdfs/MobileInternetSettings.pdf)

Mobile carriers are attempting to make Internet configuration of mobiles relatively simple. In New Zealand, all Telecom mobiles come pre-configured for the internet, while Vodafone provide an SMS auto configuration service (Vodafone NZ (http://wireless.vodafone.co.nz/m2minternet/)).

Parallel imported phones can usually be set-up from SMS auto configuration forms found on the manufacturers local website.
